Here are four great pictures from the french "Festival des grangers". My parents shot these photos when they attended this awesome concert in the rain. 3 Pictures from the soundcheck - 1 from the concert. My parents spent the night in the same hotel as did the band and Mr. Whitley. They spent the evening drinking with and talking to Heiko and Matthias. They're saxons like my parents. So they had a lot to talk about. In the end they got autographs - even Chris signed the paper!!! I envy my parents for this experience.

...seeing these great pictures posted by Sascha reminded me of seeing Chris play about a month prior in July 2004 at the Ottawa 'Bluesfest'.....it was mid-week in the festival and most of the stages were dark...only the main stage and one secondary stage where CW was playing were being utilized.....Chris was supposed to be playing after the Tuvan throatsingers but at the last minute the order was changed and CW went on first....as always Chris graciously responded to a request ("Hey Chris, any chance you'll play 'Breaking Your Fall'?"...shrugs...looks at setlist..."Sure, man").....after his set Chris signed copies of 'Weed' and 'War Crime Blues' while the Tuvans were throatsinging in the background....
