hey dan

Hey Dan. Johnny from Oklahoma City, Ok.. I was looking on a web page of yours and saw some pics of your gear (which is amazing) i noticed you have a home studio, and was wondering what kind of recorder you have...it looks like a roland 16 track.

Hey Johnny, its a vs2480 24 track actualy. This unit I got second hand on ebay quite a while ago for about half of what they go for new, you can pick them up for even less now im sure. Its 24 bit, its got decent preamps and its never given me a problem like computer based systems sometimes can, although I also have a pc based system with the LAYLA 3G soundcard I use with the 2480 sometimes. You can also mod the preamps in the VS 2480 with higher end Op-Amps to really bring it up to par, there is tons of support for this machine out there. Also have a great old tascam 32 pro 1/4 inch 2 track reel 2 reel I picked up for 100 bucks on ebay about a year and a half ago, the sound is so warm as with most analog and its a great mixdown unit.

Thumbs up Thanks Dan

Thanks Dan for responding. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I've been busy recording on my Korg D1600. I like it alot, but it's taking me awhile to learn. The manual is as thick as the good book! Is there any way I could send ya some of my stuff for a review. That would mean alot to me...thanks again.

just an ol' country boy from Oklahoma....Johnny Hollis
