Pint of Lotion

Pretty half-assed but here you go!

Pint of Lotion's like this. It's in Open A, but if you don't feel like tuning way up, use open G, DGDGBD. Play it slow first until you feel it. ^ = bend, / = play with slide. This is off of the Anthology collection. stomp on something. Play it aggresively, really beat it out like you're trying to prove something. Use fingerpicks if you've got them for some upstrokes, if you don't have any, just use a really heavy flatpick and hold it as straight as possible and scrape. The main riff is:

Pissed off upstroke w/fingerpicks
D------------------------^--------------------------------------------------------
B------------------------0--------------------------------------------------------
G-----0--3p0h3h5-5-0-----0--0--/3--0------0-------------------------------
D------------x-x-x-x--0--3^---x---/3--0--3^-x------------------------------
G-----0--0-0-0-0-0--0-0------0---/3--0-----0---3^-------------------------
D----------------------------------0---/3------------------3--5-----------------

Repeat that one more time, but after the second 3^, play this with the slide:
Upstroke w/ fingerpicks
D----------/------^--3-------3/5-------5---------------------------------------
B----------/------3-3-------3/5-----5-5----------------------------------------
G----------/3-3-3-3-------3/5-5--5--5---------------------------------------
D----------/3-3-3-3-------3/5-5--5--5----------------------------------------
G----------/3-3-3----------3/5-5-5---------------------------------------------
D----------/3-3-------------3/5-5----------------------------------------------

The "Takes a whole pint of lotion..." chorus, at least as close as I've got
D--------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------
G---(5)----------------------------------------
D----7-7-7-7-7---------------------------
G----3-3-3-3-3----16 times...----
D----0-0-0-0-0-----------------------

D---------------------------------------------------------------/5-5-3p0--------
B-------------------0------------------------------------------/5-5-3p0--------
G-------------------0-----------------------------------------/5-5-3p0------
D--------------7---0---2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-3-3-3-3-3----------/5-5-3p0-----
G--------------3---0---x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x------------/5-5-3p0----
D--------------5---0---2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-3-3-3-3-3---------/5-5-3p0------

Pull off w/ slide

The jam part in the middle is like this:

D------2/3-3-3-3---------------------------------------------------------------
B------2/3-3-3-3----------------------------------------------------------------
G---0--/-0-0-0-0-------------------------------------------------------------
D---0-----------------------see below---------------------------------------
G---0-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
D----------------------------------------------------------------------------------go nuts w/slide on 3rd and 5th frets, rinse, wash, repeat till you've had enough

If you've never done any slide bouncing, just basically tap the strings with the slide so you get a clean pull-off sound with it. Just go nuts, the main thing is to keep the rhythm going, notes are 20% of music, rhythm and groove are 80%, especially in CW's music. Have some fun.

Peace, Jay.
